We were getting a lil lost in our group character designs, so a few quick sketches to try and help for the comps of the characters, was just thinking about shapes and not attire, but they are all pretty much the same!
Is it important that the two characters look like they're from the same world - because when I saw the first set on the group blog, it did seem as if the 'lumberjack' and the other character were coming from different design worlds - i.e. 'less stylised' and 'more stylised'. For me, this rationalisation by Mark is very helpful, because it's pulling the two forms much closer together. I can honestly say that I know very little about your story/story world, so I'm an ill-informed judge, but for what it is worth, I like 5, 11 and 17...
Hey Daniel, the spirit drawings where based on totum poles, and the Lumberjack was based on the older lady we have for life drawing, but if any of them help you out feel free to adapt as we didnt use any for the project
